Angel Martin Gallery was founded in 1991 and has been ongoing since Madrid and throughout Spain unprecedented efforts in the promotion and dissemination of primitive art, both private and institutional level. In 1993 he made his first solo exhibition.
Since 1995 Angel Martín has participated periodically in some of the most prestigious international and national art fairs and has curated several exhibitions, outside the scope of the gallery, for public and private organizations. Work that belonged to the gallery is now part of the collections of the National Archaeological Museum, the National Museum of Anthropology, the University of Alcalá Collection, etc.
The Angel Martin Gallery presents three annual exhibitions. They are events punctually accompanied by the edition of a catalog. One of the objectives of these exhibitions has had and continues to have a marked scientific aspect. From fidelity to authenticity and rigor for aesthetics, each exhibition aims to make a contribution in the field of knowledge of the arts of Africa. In this sense, identifying and describing hitherto unknown styles or specifying chronological starts or poorly known geographical frames, is the contribution and permanent purpose of a line of work.
